Why the network, not the brand, decides what a withdrawal costs

The choice of coin is usually presented as a matter of taste: bitcoin is safe, litecoin is cheap, USDT does not fluctuate. That is not wrong, but it is not what decides the price of a withdrawal either. The price is decided by the network the coin is moved on — and one and the same coin can be moved on several networks, at very different cost. How fast a coin moves matters little in the crash gameitself, where the outcome is decided before the round starts.

Below is what thirty operators actually list on their own cashier pages, how short those lists are, and how few of them distinguish between networks at all.

Bitcoin is at the top of thirty out of thirty lists, and what that means in practice for deposits and withdrawals is covered on bitcoin casino Norway 2026. Coin support is at the same time one column of seven in the ranking on top 10 crypto casinos in Norway. The front page gathers everything about crypto casino in Norway.

Of a hundred brands in the fact library, the full coin list could be read at thirty. The distribution is far less varied than the marketing suggests.

Coin Listed by
Bitcoin (BTC) 29 of 30
Ether (ETH) 28 of 30
Litecoin (LTC) 23 of 30
Tether (USDT) 23 of 30
Dogecoin (DOGE) 18 of 30
BNB 15 of 30
XRP 15 of 30
Bitcoin Cash (BCH) 14 of 30
Tron (TRX) 14 of 30
Solana (SOL) 13 of 30
USD Coin (USDC) 13 of 30
Cardano (ADA) 11 of 30

The top five cover the vast majority. Anything below twelve hits is niche, no matter how much space it gets in a banner.

The one of the thirty that does not list bitcoin writes a string of characters on its cashier page that does not match any known ticker. We have recorded what it says, not what was presumably meant.

Why the lists are shorter than «hundreds of cryptocurrencies»

The median list among the thirty is nine coins. Eight of the operators list five or fewer; two of them list exactly one, and that one is bitcoin.

At the other end is Cloudbet with 40 coins, Sportbet.one with 19, and Rakebit and CryptoGames with 15 each. Four operators therefore account for almost the entire breadth of the data set.

«We support all major cryptocurrencies» in practice means five to nine.

That is not a problem in itself either. The problem arises when you pick an operator by the length of the list instead of by what is actually going to be used — and what is going to be used is one coin in and the same coin out.

Why the network is the decisive piece of information

Bitcoin has one network. Litecoin has one. USDT has several, and that is where the confusion sits.

The same USDT can be sent over Ethereum, over Tron and over other chains. The amount is identical, the recipient is identical, and the cost is not. If you send on the wrong network to an address that only exists on another, the amount is gone — not delayed, gone.

Among the thirty there is only one operator that makes the distinction visible in the coin list itself. Rocketpot lists USDT as two separate entries, each with its own ticker, so that the user chooses the network already at the cashier. Cloudbet lists USDT and Tron separately. The remaining 21 that list USDT write only «USDT».

Where it says only «USDT», the network has to be chosen in a drop-down field you see only when you are in the withdrawal form.

The fact that Tron is included as a coin of its own in 14 of the thirty lists says something indirectly: the network is available at almost half of them, even where it is not marked as a USDT option.

What a withdrawal actually costs, split in three

The sum you see deducted from the balance is rarely one fee. It is usually three, and only one of them belongs to the network.

The network fee is paid to the chain and varies with how busy it is there at that moment. It is the only one of the three that the operator does not set.

The operator's own withdrawal fee is stated in the terms, and it is not always stated in the same place as the coin list.

The exchange mark-up arises if your balance is held in one unit and the payout happens in another — for example when the account is in euros and the withdrawal in bitcoin. The amount is then converted at a rate the operator sets.

That is why the cheapest combination is usually the simplest: the same coin in as out, on a network with low fees, with no intermediate swap.

Stablecoin or not — and what it does to the tax

The argument for a stablecoin is fair enough: the balance is measured in something that does not move while you play. 24 of the thirty list at least one stablecoin, so the access is there.

But for tax purposes a stablecoin is not neutral. The Norwegian Tax Administration treats cryptocurrency as an asset, and exchanging it for another crypto-asset counts as realisation — including an exchange from bitcoin to USDT. The gain is capital income and is taxed at 22 per cent.

Switching to USDT to avoid price swings is therefore not a neutral move. It is a taxable event in itself.

The rule that follows from that is boring and saves work: as few changes of form as possible. Every swap is one more line in the accounts you have to keep yourself. What the whole chain from kroner to gaming account looks like, and how many swaps it actually contains, is covered under from Norwegian kroner to deposit; the tax page sits under tax on winnings.

The order that works in practice

First: choose the coin by what the operator actually lists, not by what the banner says. The list is at the cashier or on the help page, and it is shorter than the front page promises.

Then: choose the network before you send, not while you are sending. If it says only «USDT», open the withdrawal form and see which networks are offered, before you transfer anything from the exchange.

Then: send a small test amount to a new address the first time. Always. A crypto transfer cannot be recalled, and there is no chargeback scheme corresponding to the one you have on a card.

And finally: use the same coin both ways. It saves one fee, one exchange spread and one line in the tax accounts.

How much is allowed out at all over the course of a week or a month is an entirely different question — and only fourteen out of a hundred operators answer it. That is covered under withdrawal limits.
